Yes I said the K word! O.K, I've been doing too much crocheting as of late. (who said that?) I need to do a little knitting, want to join me? I'm just going to make a simple knit skully. I'll even give you the pattern.

Big Mexiko Knit Beanie Schoeller + Stahl Big Mexiko Yarn (worsted weight self striping yarn) 4.5 mm 16” Circulars 4.5 mm double points Marker and a wool needle
S-M or (L-XL)
Cast on loosely 80 (88) sts on circulars needles. Placing marker to mark end/beginning of rows.
Work K2, p2 ribbing for 10 rows or 16 rows fold up brim or just more depth. (Note: The extra 6 rows may also be added to the knit rows instead of the ribbing for more depth)
Next Row: S-M Inc 1 st (L-XL 2 sts) Knit every row for 5½ (6½) inches
Decrease as follows changing to double pointed needles when needed.
Row 1: *K7, K2 tog, repeat from * around. Row 2 and all even rows knit. Row 3: *K6, K2 tog, repeat from * around. Row 5: *K5, K2 tog, repeat from * around. Row 7: *K4, K2 tog, repeat from * around. Row 9: *K3, K2 tog, repeat from * around. Row 11: * K2, K2 tog, repeat from * around. Row 13: *K1, K2 tog, repeat from * around. Row 15: *K2 tog, repeat from * around. Row 16: Knit Row.
Cut yarn leaving enough to run through remaining stitches and pull tight. Secure and weave in ends.
